Interstellar Welcomes Minister Minoru Kiuchi, Minister of State for Space Policy, to Fukushima

On December 25, 2024, Interstellar was excited to welcome Minister Minoru Kiuchi to Minamisoma, Fukushima Prefecture, to learn more about Japan’s growing space industry.
The visit started with a briefing from Mayor Monma of Minamisoma City, followed by a presentation from our CEO, Inagawa. The presentation explained the ZERO project, focusing on important milestones, key goals, and partnerships with 22 local companies. Minister Kiuchi had the chance to see essential rocket components up close and learn how they contribute to our work in space technology. The discussion also covered plans to build our Tohoku branch, which will help strengthen space development efforts in the region.
In a roundtable discussion later, Minister Kiuchi talked about how the space industry can help boost Fukushima’s economy. He also emphasized how teamwork between the government and private companies is crucial for Japan to stay competitive in the global space industry.
