Interstellar Technologies is proud to announce that a research paper on satellite development, jointly presented at the 2025 AIAA SciTech Forum, the world’s premier aerospace conference held in Florida, USA, from January 6 to 10, 2025, has been honored as a Best Student Paper Finalist. Interstellar remains committed to advancing cutting-edge satellite technologies and contributing to the global aerospace community.
Award Recipient:
Yuta Takahashi ( Ph.D. Candidate at Institute of Science Tokyo, and Intern Engineer at Interstellar Technologies)
Recipient’s Comment:
“Managing the formation flying (or swarm) of tens of thousands of ultra-small satellites is a complex task that requires significant computational resources. Our study addresses this challenge by proposing an efficient control method in which each satellite autonomously makes decisions and predicts risks, significantly reducing computational time. This technology is currently being evaluated for integration into the communication formation flying systems under development by Interstellar.”
Paper Title:
“Distance-based Relative Orbital Transition for Palm-Sized Satellite Swarm with Guaranteed Escape-Avoidance”
